Port Isaac

The church of St Peter was built as a chapel-of-ease in the parish of St Endellion in 1882-84; Port Isaac became a separate parish in 1913 though more recently it has returned to St Endellion parish. The building materials were granite and stone and the style adopted was Early English.[2]

St Austell

The Masonic Hall in South Street, had its cornerstones laid on the 20th June 1900, it is an outstanding building, with the apex crowned with a pentagonal star, various Masonic symbols abound the front, as well as the coat of arms of the United Grand Lodge of England.[22]

Royal Fowey Yacht Club

Its antecedents can be traced back to 1880; its third Honorary Secretary, from 1893, was Arthur Quiller-Couch, who became Sir Arthur. The minutes and descriptions of Yacht races, up to 1897 are in his handwriting. Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch filled the post of Commodore from 1911 until 1944 when he was succeeded by General Sir Frederick Browning, who upon retirement in 1962, was elected the Club's first Admiral.

Readymoney Cove

Readymoney Cove is a sandy beach to the south of the harbour town of Fowey, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is sheltered by cliffs close to the mouth of the River Fowey Estuary and bounded, on one side, by the medieval part of the town of Fowey and, on the other, by St Catherine's Castle. The beach can be covered during spring tides. The beach is cleaned daily during high season, and a bathing platform is moored in the bay. Dogs are banned between Easter and 30 September. Above the cove is the former coach house which was the home of author, Daphne du Maurier, for a few years during the Second World War. Local legend has it that a mermaid frequents the cove during winter storms[citation needed].
